Per Magnusson and David Kreuger

I first met Per Magnusson and David Kreuger in 1995. They worked as songwriters and producers at Cheiron Studios, and were to produce seven tracks for my band Hearsays’ upcoming album. Though this album never was released, it was clear that we worked great together, and when I was signed by Cheiron in 1998, we formed a team.

For example, Per and David produced my “Sometimes” for Britney Spears as well as her “(You Drive Me) Crazy”, which we wrote with Max Martin. Shortly after, three of our songs for Westlife reached #1 in the UK.

After the dissolution of Cheiron at the end of 2000, I returned to my own studio. Per and David opened A Side Productions. And the three of us continued to work together. For example, in 2002, we wrote “Evergreen”, the multi record-breaking winning-song for the first Pop Idol, Will Young. Another song was “Anyone of Us (Stupid Mistake)” for Gareth Gates, also a UK #1 which became a huge hit.

Over the years, Per and David have produced several of my songs, among them the UK Christmas #1 “That’s My Goal” for the 2005 X Factor-winner Shayne Ward.

Thanks, guys.
