As the artist “Shane”, Jörgen releases his first single “Dance With Another” taken from the debut album “Man in Me”. It is recorded in world famous Polar Studios owned by ABBA. Shane also releases a second album, “Hold On”.
Jörgen meets Ben Marlene from the group Trance Dance who asks him to write a song for the Swedish recording artist Carola. “Guld i dina ögon” (Gold in Your Eyes) becomes Jörgen’s first major hit.
Jörgen has formed the group “Hearsay” together with British artist Pete James. Signed by Ricochet Records, seven songs for an album are produced by Per Magnusson and David Kreuger at Cheiron Studios. The album was however never released.
Located in a basement in central Stockholm, Groove Shack becomes Jörgen’s working base. Around the clock, here is where he continues writing and producing music for artists.
Soon after being signed to Cheiron Productions, Jörgen co-writes
“It Will Be Yours” for Boyzone’s upcoming album. The song becomes Jörgen’s first international success, as the album “Where We Belong” shoots straight to #1 in the UK.
This is Boyzone’s third consecutive album to reach the top spot, a
record still today shared only by The Beatles and Oasis.
Cheiron is in 1998 approached by Jive Records to write songs for an unknown
15 year-old artist from Louisiana, USA. Her name is Britney Spears.
Jörgen writes “Sometimes”, released on April 30, 1999, as Spears’ second single from her debut album …Baby One More Time. He also co-writes “(You Drive Me) Crazy”, her third single. Cheiron becomes the world’s most famous music studio.
Simon Cowell contacts Cheiron Productions wanting material for the newly formed Irish group Westlife. Jörgen co-writes three songs which all appear on the band’s self-titled album. “If I Let You Go” is released on August 9 and immediately lands at #1 on the UK Top 40 list.
Released on March 27, 2000, Jörgen gets his second UK #1 with Westlife’s “Fool Again”
Released on October 30 2000, Jörgen finds himself yet again at #1 in the UK – his third in only 14 months. This time with Westlife’s “My Love”, released as the first single from the group’s sophomore album Coast to Coast.”
My Love is certified ITV's Record of the Year.
Jörgen holds the record for writing most winning-songs
for Idol globally - thus far seventeen.
Shayne Ward wins the British X Factor on December 17. Four days later his winning-song “That’s My Goal”, co-written by Jörgen, is released.
By selling more than 742,000 copies in the next five days, the single becomes that year’s Christmas No 1.
Leona Lewis is crowned winner of the third series of The X Factor on the evening of December 16, 2006. Her winning-song,
“A Moment Like This”, co-written by Jörgen and previously released by American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, is immediately available for download . As a physical single it is released four days later.
By outselling the rest of the Top 40’s sales combined, Lewis’ debut single becomes the most downloaded in 2006. It also becomes this year’s Christmas Number One.
Jörgen also founds the record label 33,3 as a joint venture with Roxy Recordings, today owned by Universal Music.
On June 19, 2010, H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria and H.R.H. Prince Daniel are wed in Stockholm’s Cathedral. During the ceremony, Swedish artists Björn Skifs and Agnes perform Jörgen’s song “When You Tell the World You’re Mine”, which he has written exclusively for the Royal Wedding.

Jörgen is GRAMMY Award nominated for Song of the Year
The 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards was held on February 10, 2013, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
On June 15, 2012, Jörgen is awarded H.M. The King's Medal 8th size with a bright blue ribbon for valuable contributions as a composer and songwriter.
Former ABBA member Agnetha Fältskog releases her first original song in 25 years. It is written by Jörgen. Actually, all 10 songs on her album “A” are either written or co-written by Jörgen.
On November 15, 2019, Céline Dion releases “Courage” – her first English-language studio album in six years. Including three songs co-written by Jörgen, it debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200. This is Céline’s first album in 17 years reaching the top position.
Will Ferrell’s film “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga”, which premiered on Netflix in June 2020, is nominated for a GRAMMY Award in the category “Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media”. The song “In The Mirror” is performed by Demi Lovato and written by Jörgen.
